This is a tough one - The Penetrator has left the building. Jack Lipton, our original singer who left such an indelible stamp on the Shake 'em On Down and Comin' Home albums, passed away on Saturday. Our heartfelt condolences to his significant other, Kathleen, and the rest of his family. You were the real deal, Jack, a force of nature with your garage snarl. And a gentle, kind human being. We will miss you terribly and hope that you are at peace. See you in Rock n Roll Heaven, Dear Brother.

The band is hitting on all cylinders with Terry Quill back in the band. The two-guitar assault is raising roofs across the Northeast. Having said that, we are pleased to announce, in January 2017 (but pre-released for Christmas), a new live album from the current line-up of the band, "Raw," recorded on a hot, steamy night at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Two very good reasons to buy the new CD are the incendiary version of Jimi Hendrix's classic "Red House," and the almost 25-minute "Live Snakes Prelude - History of Rock and Roll," a truly spellbinding and jaw-dropping journey through the classic music of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Buffalo Springfield, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin, to name a few. Look for its companion volume, "2Raw," in March 2017. You can purchase "Raw" here.

Happy Holidays and thanks for your continued support!

We would like to wish singer/harp player extraordinaire Pete McMahon all the best as he departs The Maniacs to concentrate on his work in the education field. Pete has been with us for a little over three years, appearing on our third album, "Pushin'" (which won a SAMMY for Best Blues CD) and our fourth album, "Live and Burnin'." We have had an absolute blast playing with him. Returning to the fold in Pete's place is original guitarist/harp player Terry Quill, who was an integral part of our first two SAMMY-winning CDs, "Shake 'Em On Down" and "Comin' Home." We are very excited about welcoming Terry back and picking up where we left off. Lovers of our early two-guitar assault should come check out the new line-up as we gear up for a busy and most blues-wailing summer!
